BISHOP ST
BOX HILL.

Bishop Street, Box Hill. Two double-brick 2-bedroom apartments re-imagined to emphasise light, openness and connection to outdoor space. Each residence opens through full-height French doors to generous private courtyards, allowing the living areas to read as extensions of the exterior rather than enclosed rooms.

Internally, the design adopts a restrained, contemporary palette built around Polytec Boston Oak joinery, softened with light grey accents and simple detailing. Bathrooms were resolved using white mosaic tiling to introduce texture and durability while maintaining a calm, consistent material language. The planning and openings were carefully considered to maximise natural light throughout the day, giving the apartments a bright, airy quality that contrasts with the solidity of the original double-brick construction. The result is a pair of robust, quietly detailed homes that prioritise light, proportion and everyday usability over decorative treatment.
